Homesick Mosque and Other Stories by Reza Jalali

Lunch and Learn: History of a Maine Little River
Local resident and historian Joseph Hardy is the author of the new book History of a Maine Little River and will be coming to speak about the history of the Merriland River in Wells.  The river and the surrounding area were home to more than a dozen mills during a span of three centuries.  Come to learn how the mills and the families that lived and worked nearby shaped the town that we know today.  All are welcome to bring lunch, and the library will provide light refreshments.  Books will be available for sale and signing after the program.  For more information, please contact Kristi Bryant at kbryant@wellstown.org or call the library at 207-646-8181.

Literary Field Trip to Sarah Orne Jewett House
Join other adults for a field trip to the home of Maine author Sarah Orne Jewett in South Berwick, Maine.  Jewett was the author of many classic novels, including In the Country of the Pointed Fir.  Read the story prior to the trip for a discussion, then see her home and learn more about the author. Wellness Wednesday: Stop Smoking Now!

Teen Crafternoon

Teens are invited to come to the library and unwind with a craft after school. This month we will be making canvas wall art. We will be using acrylic paint, spray paint, and foliage to create a canvas piece to brighten up your room or locker.  All materials are provided, you bring the creativity.
